Itenary

Day1: Gangtok

Arrival Airport/NJP railway station/Siliguri Junction, and will facilitate your further journey to Gangtok. The journey to Gangtok covers a distance of approximately 126 kilometers, a 4 - 5-hour drive. On arrival, check in to the hotel. In the evening, you could have a leisurely walk around MG Road (Mall) or through the local shopping center. Overnight in Gangtok.

Day2: Changu Lake & Baba Mandir (FULL DAY)

After the morning breakfast at the hotel, the excursion to Changu Lake and Baba Mandir begins. It is approximately 40 kilometres, a 2-hour drive along the Kyongnosla Alpine Sanctuary. It is situated at an altitude of 12310 feet or 3753 meters. This oval-shaped Lake is almost 50 feet deep and is covered with snow for most of the year. It is home to the Brahmin ducks and several migratory birds. The next destination is the sacred Baba Mandir - a very holy site. Nathu La Pass to the Republic of China is nearly 20 kilometers and is an optional tour. Later, the guests are transported back to the hotel in Gangtok, where they can enjoy their evening. Overnight in Gangtok.

Please note: If, due to a landslide or any other reason, the Changu Lake is closed, then an alternative sightseeing option will be offered.

Day3: Gangtok - Lachung

Early morning breakfast – Next start for North Sikkim package tour – Leave Gangtok at about 10 A M proceed to Lachung 119 kilometers – 4 ½ hours – 5 ½ hours – Lachung is situated at an altitude of 8600 feet - On the way stop and enjoy a few wonderful locations like Seven Sister Waterfall, Naga Waterfalls, Singhik View Point, later reach Lachung at late afternoon or early evening - Check into the hotel/resort - Evening free to stroll around the village - Dinner will be served at about 8 PM – Overnight stay at Lachung

Day 4: Yumthang Valley - Gangtok

Yumthang Valley, also known as the Valley of Flowers, is situated at an altitude of 11,800 feet or 3,597 meters and is at a distance of 24 kilometres from Lachung. The folklore says that Yumthang is the grazing ground of yaks in summer and the playground of Yetis in the winter. Zero Point or Yumesamdong is an optional tour; there is no motorable road beyond this point, and civilians are not allowed to go further due to the proximity to the Chinese border. The excursion will end at the hotel for lunch.

Post lunch, take the transfer to Gangtok. The return journey will include a visit to the Bheema and Twin Falls (if time permits). The day will end with check-in at the hotel in Gangtok. Overnight in Gangtok.

Day 5: Gangtok - Darjeeling

The day will begin with a sumptuous breakfast. The half-day sightseeing tour will be in the form of an easy and relaxed drive. The tour will include a visit to the Ganesh Tok, Bakthang Waterfalls, Tashi View Point, and Do Drul Chorten Stupa. From here, you will be transported to Darjeeling. Transfer to Darjeeling (7001 Ft / 2123 Mts, 97 Km / 04 Hrs drive). Evening free to stroll around Mall Road/local shopping centre. Overnight in Darjeeling.

Day6: Darjeeling

Darjeeling Local Sightseeing (Full Day) – Early morning at around 3:45 AM drive to 8000 feet / 2440 meters through primitive forests of oak, magnolia to Tiger Hill to view sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak (subject to clear weather) – Back to hotel for breakfast - After breakfast rest for half an hour After that next round of sightseeing - Half Day city tour includes visit to Ghoom Monastery, Peace memorial & Batasia Loop –Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park(Thursday Closed), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Tensing Gumpo Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center (Closed on Sunday), Tea Estate, Natural History Museum (Thursday Closed), Peace Pagoda – Back to hotel – Evening free to stroll around the area - Overnight in Darjeeling.

Day7: Departure

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and take the departure transfer to Bagdogra Airport (IXB)

Policies

How many days before the tour is it cancelled? Charges applicable are as follows:

• 30 days or more before the tour: 10% of the total tour cost
• 15 to 29 days before the tour: 25% of the total tour cost
• 7 to 14 days before the tour: 50% of the total tour cost
• Less than 7 days before the tour: 100% of the total tour cost (No refund)
